Sending mail from a Hotmail account

You get to the configuration options from the Features tab's Mail Options button:

Then you'll see the screen below:

Now:

  • Click on Email
  • Set Server Name to Hotmail
  • Set Server to smtp.live.com
  • Set From to your hotmail address<span style="font-style: italic;"</span
  • Tick (check) the Close new tab'Server requires TLS boxes (this will automatically select the Server requires authentication box).
  • Set Username to the username for hotmail (which is the full email address)
  • Set Port Override to 587
  • Set Password to your hotmail password. This is needed as to give the system permission to send via hotmail and it needs to have access to hotmail.
  • Click Ok

Then you should look at Differences when sending by email. You might also want to look at Advanced sending by email.
