What's This?
When people post an OFFER message, they can post a TAKEN later. Similarly, when someone posts a WANTED message, they can post a RECEIVED later.
Members often get confused by this, and will post a RECEIVED for something which someone else OFFERed and gave to them. Sometimes they'll even post a TAKEN for someone else's OFFER - either because they're confused, or (rarely) because they're trying to put other people off responding to it.
What do I see?
The plugin will flag up related messages, showing the subject and date:
You can click on this to go to the message.
For TAKEN and RECEIVED messages, it will also flag when it can't find the corresponding OFFER or WANTED, which means the member has probably posted the message by mistake.
Why doesn't it match?
This checking is not absolutely certain - the subject line has to be pretty close for the plugin to spot messages as related, so if they've changed the subject line a bit when sending a TAKEN, then it might not find it. There are messages which to a human are "obviously" the same message, which are hard for a computer to spot.
If you think it ought to match, then get a screenshot for Edward - go to the the message, hover your mouse over the message summaries so you can see message it ought to match it, then take a screenshot.
Can I change it?
You can change the colour that this information uses - see Changing the default colours.
If you don't like this function, you can turn it off via Features->Advanced Options:
