Multiple User Ids

What is this?
Sometimes you'll get members who have multiple Yahoo IDs or email addresses, and post from each of them. This can either be accidental, or sometimes it can be a deliberate way to get round limits on WANTEDs or other rules.
You can configure the plugin to treat two members as being the same - for example so that you'll see all their messages in the counts.
How do I configure it?
First, you need to find the two Yahoo IDs or email addresses.
For Yahoo IDs:
For email addresses:
You might not see the whole of the email address or Yahoo ID - Yahoo truncates them. Just put what you see, but strip off any . characters on the end.
Now click on the Multiple User IDs button on the Checking tab. You'll see this:
Enter both Yahoo IDs and click Add.
To delete one, select the line in the box and click Delete.
If you had a DB entry for the second ID, it won't show up any more - because it will just be looking up the first. So you should check that, and manually add any DB entries to the first ID.
If you have more than 2 Yahoo IDs you want to link, then that can also be done, though it's a bit more complicated. Imagine the Yahoo IDs Tom, Dick and Harry are all used by the same person and Tom is the ID they're currently using. So Tom=A, Dick=B and Harry=C, then you'd add A=B, followed by A=C.
Be Patient
When you link two members like this, you lose the counts for the second member upto the point you combine them. From then on, posts from either member will be combined. Once 30 days have elapsed since you combined them, then everything's back to normal.
Yahoo Search
Yahoo knows nothing about this linking of IDs. So if you click on the counts, or click on the magnifying glass, then you'll just get a Yahoo search for the first id - not for the second.
If you want to search on the second ID, do it manually using Yahoo's search. You'll only need to do this if you're looking for messages older than 30 days, or if it's within 30 days since you combined them, and the plugin hasn't yet caught up.
