Checking for specific locations

The approach described in Colour-coding Subjects works if your group uses punctuation in the subject line to identify locations.

If your group doesn't have punctuation in the subject line, then the only way for the plugin to determine whether there is a location in the subject line is for you to give it an explicit list of all the valid locations. It can then colour the subject red if none of those locations appear.

You configure this in the Checking tab by clicking on the button:

You'll then get this dialogue:

To add a location:

  • Enter it in the Location to allow box.
  • Hit Add.

To delete a location:

  • Select it in the list.
  • Hit Delete.

Here's an example of a valid subject (because it contains the 'Stockbridge' location) and an invalid one (which contains none of the configured locations):

If you only want to check for location on some subjects and not others - for example on OFFERs but not WANTEDs - then just add the keywords you don't want to check for location into this list. That way it will match them as though they were a location, and will therefore colour them green.
