Changing the way tabs work

From PluginWiki

By default, the plugin either

  • launches a new tab when you click on the links it's added (e.g. one of the standard rejections), or
  • does it inline with a Working... message (e.g. changing moderation status).

If you don't like opening new tabs, you can configure it not to from the Features tab:

This brings up this dialog:

You should always leave the Intercept clicks set to Yes - the only reason you'd want to turn this off would be if the plugin had gone haywire.

Where to open controls whether to open a new tab (the default) or open the link in the current tab. You can set this separately for:

  • all links added by the plugin
  • those relating to the database

...though you'd usually set them to the same thing. If you set to open in the current tab then it's simpler - you don't get lots of new tabs flying around. But it's likely to be slower to use the plugin overall, because you'll have to keep going back to pages (like Pending) to do the next thing, and each time you do that, it'll have to reload the page.

You can also control whether the plugin takes you to any new tabs that it opens (by default it doesn't) via the Where to put focus setting.
