Annotating the DB page

From PluginWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

This means that when you view the database page itself using Yahoo, you'll see information about the users. This makes the database page quite slow to use, but can be useful e.g. for spotting entries in the DB who are no longer members of your group.

If you want the recent posting history, configure this on the Features tab:

Once you've done this you may see this popup:

Do what it says, carefully.

You'll then see information on the database page about when they joined, or if they're no longer a member. It'll also flag if they're on the bouncing member list.

If you have multiple entries for the same user, on different groups, you'll see multiple sets of info. Here's a complex example:

To display whether someone's a member of a group, you need to have moderator access to that group - so if you don't, you'll see a warning telling you.

Changing the Default Group

If you need to change the default group (e.g. because you got it wrong), you'll need to change the preference directly. Type about:config in the URL bar and hit return:

Then type groupdef in the Filter bar and hit return:

Right-click and select Modify, then change the value.
